Surprise proposal & engagement in Malibu. A friend of Joel reached out to me for a last-minute proposal and we somehow coordinated all of the people to be at El Matador State Beach in Malibu the same day! Joel was actually at work (in New Jersey!) and his friend thought this was the perfect time to surprise his girlfriend, Sajana while she was visiting her friend in California. Needless to say, his girlfriend was genuinely surprised. I was so happy to capture the portraits, but it was the candid moments when they were celebrating via facetime that got me. They were even down to get into the water. What a dream couple!
